After hearing strange sounds in the basement, 4th-grade student Sakura accidentally releases a deck of magic cards. Each card has its own personality and own power which, once harnessed, can be used by the person who owns it. The problem is that the cards have already escaped, and now she must find and gather the creatures which reside in the cards before they can cause damage. It sounds like an impossible task but the help of the teddy-bear guardian, Kerebus, and the powers of each captured card, help her along the way?not to mention her best friend Tomoyo who knows her secret and videotapes her adventures and supplies Sakura with new costumes.
